C. Chance883 Discussion starter. 14 posts · Joined 2010. #2 · Jan 30, 2010. ok, I called him back because I didnt find anything online saying that the 2 stroke had an oil filter. He said he thought I was refering to a 4 stroke, so in fact the 2 stroke doesnt have oil filters. Thanks anyways.
Most guys put topends in around 400 hrs on bikes that see typical use, if it's been raced or ridden hard then adjust downward accordingly. AS for bearings, replacing those are pretty rare but I'd imagine around 600 hrs it'll need the crank done.
Posted July 3, 2017. Only had new KTM last years, never had to change or adjust valves. 2013 SXF 450: 107h before piston change, a bit overtime. 167h before i sold it. Piston 3 was then mounted. 2014 SXF 450: 65h.

2009 450 EXC First Oil Change. Just dropped the oil for first time after just over 3 hours running time on new bike.
